June 10, 2023 – The Renegades 14U team won the Blue Badger Baseball Bash, a baseball tournament sponsored by the MAJM Scholarship Foundation and named after Andy Manley, who died tragically on November 9, 2010.
The Renegades were undefeated beating the Woodstock Heat 16-2, the Geneva Vikings 8-5, and Dakota Baseball 9-4 before meeting the Geneva Vikings again in the final game. The Renegades seized victory in dramatic fashion in the championship game against a tough Geneva squad with Luke Faxon’s walk off double to win the game 9-8. Faxon, Aodhan Lane, and Graham Mertzlufft all pitched for the Renegades in the final. Rory Nugent, Lane, Faxon, Tom Stewart, Robbie Keller, Mertzlufft and Collin Castelli each managed one hit.
